Semester dates:
May 25* - June 25 | *Please note that
students should arrive in Italy on
May 25, which means that your flight from the US will depart
on the previous day (May 24). Students should depart from Italy on the
last day of the term (June 25).
It is especially important to adhere to this itinerary to facilitate transportation
to and from the Venice airport.
Program cost: $3,500 - includes tuition,
room and board, a full time resident dorm director, and travel expenses in
Italy (train, bus, or van) during programmed activities. Expenses not
included in this cost includes airfare to and from Italy, passport fees,
luggage, sleeping and personal items, snacks, gifts, spending money, and
insurance*.
*Students are required to be covered by medical
insurance. Additional travel insurance is strongly suggested, but not
required.
Application deadline: March 1, 2012
Deadline for all paperwork and tuition payments:
April 1, 2012
Payments or paperwork received after the April 1 deadline will result
in a $100 late fee.
Textbook Requirements: A textbook list is secured
and forwarded to attending students approximately four weeks before the
start of the semester. Some books will be available to rent at the SBI
campus and will be identified on the textbook list. Books needing to be
purchased are often found cheaply through Amazon with free shipping.

Auditing courses at SBI means that the
student will not get credit for the course but still is expected to attend
every class, complete all homework, and participate in all student group
projects and presentations. Auditing students are not required to take a
final exam.

of evangelism. Students will study biblical examples, with emphasis
on the biblical stories of evangelism to determine evangelistic
patterns in the early church.

This course is a study of the historical dynamics and
developments of the Christian church from the Protestant Reformation
to the present day. this course will include a study of the persons
and movements significant to the spread of Christianity and its
effects on the world history. This course will evaluate the
historical, social, intellectual, and cultural aspects/controversies
of the time period studied. Our goal is to learn about church history,
not simply for the sake of knowledge, but in order to think critically
about both our past and present. |
